CBS Interactive’s long-running concert series, “Live on Letterman,” will feature Grammy-winners John Mayer and John Legend on back-to-back nights. Mayer will perform at 8pm ET on Monday, August 19 from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, followed by Legend’s performance on Tuesday night at the same time and location. Each performance will be streamed live on CBS.com and VEVO platforms, as well as be made available on demand for later viewing.
During its run, the “Live on Letterman” series has featured a vast array of music stars from Coldplay and Mumford & Sons to Adele. Beginning with Mayer and Legend’s performances, the show will bring some new interactive capabilities into the viewing experience. Viewers will now be able to toggle between two camera angles, capture and share photos during the performances, and vote on the last long the artist will perform during his set.
Mayer will play songs off of his upcoming album, “Paradise Valley,” as well as some of his older hits. Legend will also play songs off of his next album, “Love in the Future,” as well as some of his earlier stuff.
To date, “Live on Letterman” has generated more than 185 million views across CBS.com and VEVO platforms.
