IDG World Expo and Digital Media Wire are partnering to launch Digital Entertainment World, a new digital content marketplace/conference scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on February 18–20, 2014.
The focus of the three-day event will be on digital content creation and monetization spanning multiple verticals including online video. The stated goal of the event is to provide a venue for digital IP rights-holders to connect with potential business partners, from tech and service providers to distributors and device manufacturers.
Speakers scheduled to attend include VEVO chief executive Rio Caraeff and Warner Bros. Entertainment’s chief digital officer Thomas Gewecke, among others. A full list of scheduled speakers can be found here.
The conference will feature seven tracks in total with over 100 sessions 300 guest speakers/panelists. Sessions of note include “Video Advertising Metrics and Models,” “The Economics of Streaming and Downloads,” and “Monetizing the Fan-Musician Connection.”
