Defy Media’s entertainment news property Clevver is launching several new shows in January to cover the Hollywood awards season.
Living under the “Trophy Life” banner, the series will center on tentpole awards shows like the Golden Globes, Grammys, and Oscars, as well as lesser-known events like the Critics’ Choice Movie and TV Awards. One of these series will be called “Totally Clevver,” which will feature celebrity guests discussing the latest Hollywood news and trends in panel-style conversations. Defy Media has not disclosed the names and plans for some of the other programs under the “Trophy Life” umbrella, though the company says overall it hopes to deliver more than 150 videos across several months.
Beginning in January, “Trophy Life” will be air on Clevver.com, as well as across the site’s mini-network of YouTube channels, including ClevverTV, Clevver Movies, Clevver Music, Clevver News, and the Spanish-language Clevver TeVe.
Clevver is looking to increase its overall presence during the Hollywood awards season.
Aside from “Trophy Life,” the property just became the official digital partner for the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. As part of the deal, Clevver has agreed to power the audience vote for the Hottest Star of the Year award, which will be presented during the CCMA broadcast on The CW Network on January 16. The network will also provide on-site coverage of the CCMAs before, during, and after the show. This includes video reports from the red carpet as well as the CCMA backstage area, where it will host the “Clevver Lounge” for interviews with winners.
All of this content will be available across the Clevver network, which collectively reaches 22 million unique viewers per month.
