7. Beats by Dre — $199.95
How could we not include Beats by Dre? These headphones essentially changed how people listen to music. Beats are a must for any creator looking to get the best sound quality out of their headphones. Sure, they’re a little expensive, but with an amazing 4 ½ star review on Amazon, they are worth it.
8. “The Fault in Our Stars” — $8.99 (Hardcover)
Ask anyone about “The Fault in Our Stars” and they will probably tell you that it’s the greatest thing ever written since the Declaration of Independence. Written by YouTube’s elder statesmen John Green, the novel is also being adapted into a feature film, which will release June 6, 2014.
9. GoPro Hero3+ — $299.00
Released this year, the GoPro Hero3+ is by far one of the most versatile lightweight cameras out right now. The new Hero3 features a ridiculously light, waterproof house; 1080p60 and 720p120 fps processing; and a 30% longer battery life than its previous iterations.
10. “I’m Feeling Lucky: The Confessions of Google Employee Number 59” — $10.80 (Hardcover)
If you want to understand YouTube, then you should probably learn about its owner Google first. “I’m Feeling Lucky: The Confessions of Google Employee Number 59” tells the story of the company’s meteoric rise as seen through the eyes of Douglas Edwards, Google’s first director of marketing and brand management. It’s an amazing book that helps contextualize the birth and structure of Google. The Daily Beast calls it, “An exciting story [that] shines light on the inner workings of the fledgling Google and on the personalities of its founders.” We think it’s pretty rad, too.
