Gail Berman, who along with Lloyd Braun co-founded the film, TV, and digital media production company BermanBraun, is leaving the company to pursue other interests. As a result, Braun is buying her half of the business and becoming the sole owner.
“When Lloyd and I founded BermanBraun, we wanted to create a different kind of entertainment company — one that consisted of both TV and Film divisions but also one that established a thriving digital division encompassing content and technology,” said Berman, in a statement.
Through the years, BermanBraun has developed multiple projects for the web. The company might be most well-known online for creating and operating Wonderwall, a celebrity news site for MSN. Other digital projects include CineFix, a video platform for filmmakers, as well as sites devoted to categories like moms, fashion and beauty, and pets.
Said Berman, of any future plans she has: “There are several unique opportunities I am considering and intend to make an announcement about my decision very soon.”
When Berman and Braun launched BermanBraun in 2007, the company started with four employees. It now has more than 150.
“I am very proud of the business we have built over these past 7 years,” said Braun. “My partnership with Gail has been a wonderful experience, professionally and personally.”
