Jordan Levin has been named to an executive vice president role at Xbox Entertainment Studios, the original production division of Xbox and Microsoft.
As we reported previously, Levin’s new gig, which encompasses development and production of scripted and unscripted content for Xbox and other Microsoft devices, will make him Microsoft entertainment and digital media president Nancy Tellem’s number two. He will report directly to her.
Xbox Entertainment Studios has been tasked with producing TV-like original content for the gaming console (which Xbox now likes to pitch as a multi-use home entertainment system.) Levin has a lot of experience on this front, having formerly led the WB Network and Generate, a digital production and management company that was acquired by Alloy Digital (now Defy Media).
