Enough publishers use the video player and related solutions provided by JW Player for the NY-based startup to claim a monthly audience of 7 billion streams worldwide.
YuMe, one of the more prominent video advertising tech providers, wants those publishers to use its products to monetize their videos. So the company has embedded its Audience-Aware software development kit directly into the JW6 advertising platform.
Starting today, this integration will allow publishers to “easily and rapidly” deploy in-stream audience surveys to get a better understanding of who’s watching their content and in doing so improve their ad targeting, the companies said. Additionally, publishers will also be able to access audience segment data and interactive ad units through YuMe’s Connected Audience Network and Video Reach products.
It’s only the second proprietary third-party SDK that JW Player has automatically embedded into the JW6 platform.
The first publisher to sign up for this new offering is Baeble, a NY-based music publication that offers a variety of originally-produced video content. Baeble is a client of both YuMe and JW Player.
