Music-focused digital kids’ series, “Pancake Mountain,” is back with a new season. The full season premiere of the PBS Digital Studios show, featuring Reggie Watts, is now available, with new episodes rolling out every Monday for the next ten weeks.
Framed as the perfect excuse for parents to watch TV with their children, “Pancake Mountain” attests to filling their show with “the best musicians, artists, and actors around…[and] cleverly disguising the whole thing as children’s programming.” With guests like Jack White and Katy Perry, it’s no surprise that the show amasses an adult following, too.
Past episodes will also run every Friday, while the latest incarnation of the show is set to include new features, like short skits, a theme song by The Distillers’ Brody Dalle, a fixed cooking segment with The Jesus Lizard’s David Yow, and a musical section called “Bass with Dave Schools.”
Starring goat puppet Rufus Leaking and his sidekick of a lower IQ, Captain Perfect, “Pancake Mountain” was created by Scott Stuckey. You can watch an announcement of the series’ return below.
