Veteran advertising executive Doug Scott has joined WME IMG as its new executive vice president of marketing and brand solutions. In the role, Scott will oversee branded content partnerships for WME IMG, as well as expand the super-agency’s owned and operated properties. He will remain based in New York.
Most recently, Scott served as president of OgilvyEntertainment, the entertainment marketing arm of WPP-owned ad agency Ogilvy & Mather.
Prior to OgilvyEntertainment, which he founded in 2006, Scott was SVP and general manager of PR shop Bragman Nyman Cafarelli. He was also the founder of the entertainment marketing company Matter, which was acquired by Edelman in 2006.
Scott’s hiring comes a few months after WME acquired IMG for $2.3 billion, bringing together two giants in the Hollywood and sports worlds.
