It’s that time of year again. The kids are heading back to school. And you know what that means: back-to-school shopping season is in full effect.
To honor the annual tradition, we asked YouTube analytics provider Outrigger Media and agency DigitasLBi to provide us with insights on the top, emerging education channels on YouTube.
Because while plenty of people visit YouTube to be entertained, many also seek out content on the site that fulfills a certain interest or passion — and the desire to learn something is certainly one of them.
“What’s interesting about education-geared channels on YouTube is how many different niche areas and content creators you can find,” says Jenna Camann, account director, Social.Content, at DigitasLBi. Essentially, there is something for everyone on YouTube. And this makes it possible for communities to form — communities of “learners who may otherwise be disconnected by traditional means of education.”
For brands interested in the education vertical, there is a great opportunity to partner with or become a content creator on YouTube, adds Camann. Because it’s a vertical that consists of highly engaged viewers and influential content creators, it also opens up the opportunity for brands to have a “deeper dialogue” with the consumer.
So, who are some of the top emerging creators that brands should look to partner with?
