Maker Studios just announced the launch of a new Just for Laughs YouTube channel to further distribute the comedy production company’s content online.
Maker originally partnered with Just for Laughs back in December 2013 to manage the production company’s Gags network on YouTube. Now, the Just for Laughs channel will join Gags on the digital video platform, providing fresh content from comedians like Louis CK, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Tracy Morgan, and Jon Stewart.
Just for Laughs will add archived footage from its library to its latest YouTube home every week, along with some new, original content.
“For over three decades, we’ve been building this incredible library of exclusive comedy content and are excited to partner with Maker to share it with the world,” said Just for Laughs’ CEO, Bruce Hills.
Gags has set a solid precedent for the new Just for Laughs channel, currently encompassing 15 channels on YouTube and boasting over 4 million total subscribers on the platform.
Just for Laughs Television has produced programming for numerous TV channels in the US and abroad, ranging from Fox and MTV to TEN Australia and HBO Canada. The company has offices in Montreal, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, and Paris.
