WWE has hired Lou Schwartz as its new chief digital officer. In the role, Schwartz will head the wrestling entertainment company’s digital division, working to grow its online properties, ranging from the website to the WWE App and various social media accounts.
WWE Network, which streams video content 24/7 (live broadcasting included), is also set to expand under Schwartz’s leadership.
Schwartz comes from Ultimate User Experience (UUX), where he led the OTT-focused company as CEO. Before that, Schwartz headed the Americas and General Counsel for Piksel as CEO. Schwartz also co-founded and helmed Multicast Media Technologies until Piksel bought it in 2010.
