As YouTube Space New York gets ready to fully open its doors, creators and media alike are beginning to get acquainted with the Chelsea location.
This new YouTube hub will join others that already exist in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo.
Located above the Chelsea Market in Manhattan, the space will offer various workshops and networking events for creators based in and around the city. For instance, the next event for creators is set for Wednesday, October 15, in which attendees will get to go over their YouTube analytics in a group setting. The workshop is open to those with at least 5,000 subscribers on their YouTube channels
Going forward, all YouTube partners (and some creators with high subscriber numbers) will have access to these workshops, which will take place on an ongoing basis.
Most of the space has been built, minus the top floor, which is set to open on November 6. On this floor, creators will be able to develop and produce content.
“By removing the barriers to production, we hope to inspire you all to try out new creative concepts and show formats, as well as deliver even more of the great videos and series your fans love,” said Adam Relis, head of YouTube Space NY, in a blog post.
YouTube Space NY is also hosting Ignite NY, which spans a number of events focused on getting the city’s creative industries involved with the online video site. The East Coast space also features a BrandLab, in which brands (as the name suggests) are invited to network with creators to develop branded content.
