Sports video distributor SendtoNews has renewed its deal with Sports News Television to bring sports news videos and highlights to online audiences in North America.
The three-year agreement, which builds off a one-year deal the two companies had in 2014, adds North American rights to highlight clips from major sporting events like Euro 2016, Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, the Cricket World Cup, and the Boston Marathon.
In addition to highlight packages and breaking news videos, the deal also covers original stories/specials, press conference videos, training videos, athlete interviews, and other fan-interest content produced by SNTV.
A joint venture between IMG and The Associated Press, SNTV distributes international sports content to a network of partners that features more than 450 broadcasters and digital publishers across the world.
SendtoNews’ rights portfolio also includes MLB, NASCAR, PGA Tour, and the NFL. The company says it currently averages 65 million monthly views.
