Immersive video platform Vrideo announced today that it is launching a suite of apps, including a native VR app for the Samsung Gear VR and mobile apps for Android phones and iPhones.
With the addition new apps, content on Vrideo can now be streamed via the web, mobile devices and VR headsets.
Since launching in March, Vrideo has compiled library of immersive videos from over 300 publishers and producers, including 360 Labs, Immersion.RealLife, RYOT News, Specular Theory, VR Playhouse, WildEyes and xRez. It features 20 categories and 150 subcategories of content, including action sports, journalism, music videos, animation and gaming.
Vrideo’s native VR app lets viewers search, stream, and download videos from its growing library. The app will be available on forthcoming headsets including the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Sony PlayStation VR.
