UTA has added another soldier in the digital talent war that’s rapidly heating up in Hollywood, hiring Sarah Early to join its growing digital media department.
Early previously worked as an agent specializing in global branded entertainment and digital strategy for ICM Partners. Her resume also includes a stint as a cross-platform integrations producer for Telepictures. In this capacity, she worked to inccorporate brands into content and developed on-air and digital branded entertainment for a variety of shows, including “Anderson Live,” “Extra,” and “Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers.”
In her new role, Early will use her experience in the branded content space to identify digital influencers, platforms and brands that would benefit from UTA representation. She will also lend her digital expertise to existing agency clients seeking to more effectively navigate the digital space as part of UTA’s digital media division.
UTA launched its digital media department in 2003. The division currently has 13 agents and executives who specialize in representing individuals, platforms, and brand clients operating in the digital media space. UTA’s digital division also collaborates with the agencies entertainment, social media, corporate advisory and venture capital practices to help clients under those umbrellas manage their digital assets.
UTA has been rapidly expanding its digital roster in recent months, signing a number of high profile digital stars including Kandee Johnson, “Annoying Orange” creator Dane Boedigheimer, Joey Graceffa, and Daniel Hashimoto the creator of “Action Movie Kid.” Along with the new signings have come additions to the agency’s digital team, including Early and recent newcomer David Andersen, late of MediaLink.
