Time ran out on Super Bowl 50 last Sunday, but the hype surrounding the ad campaigns connected to the big game has lingered like a throbbing grape and grain hangover.
But relief is at hand.
As the country heads into the Presidents’ Day weekend, YouTube is effectively calling it a game with its announcement of the top five vote recipients in its annual AdBlitz competition.
The big winner is Pokémon, which had more than three times more votes than the second place brand, and more total votes than second through fifth place combined:
Second place went to T-Mobile’s “Drop The Balls,” starring Steve Harvey:
Third place also went T-Mobile, this time for its “Restricted Bling” ad featuring Drake:
Mountain Dew Kickstart came in fourth place with its dream-haunting Puppymonkeybaby:
In fifth place is Kentucky Fried Chicken, which is notable as the first commercial to make the YouTube AdBlitz Top 5 without airing during the Super Bowl’s national TV telecast (it aired during the CBS live stream of the game):
