Millennial female-focused media company Popsugar and lifestyle cable network Z Living have greenlit “Popsugar Presents: Conquered,” a half-hour series exploring such themes as fitness, relationships, career and health via inspiring stories about people from all walks of life who have conquered obstacles to achieve their goals. It is scheduled to premiere on Z Living in January.
Produced by Popsugar Studios, “Conquered” will utilize TrendRank, Popsugar’s proprietary predictive technology for finding the most compelling online trends, to source the stories.
Popsugar and Z Living are reaching out to advertisers with sponsorship opportunities for the series across both brands and platforms.
“Conquered” is the third project to result from the partnership between Popsugar and Z Living, announced in March, to create original Popsugar-branded content for Z Living’s linear cable network and online outlets and Popsugar platforms. Z Living has already launched a TV version of Popsugar’s hit digital series “Class FitSugar,” and Popsugar is producing original content based on Z Living’s upcoming linear TV series “Finding Fido,” produced by 3 Ball Entertainment, and the series itself will also have a presence on Popsugar.
Founded in 2006 by husband and wife team Brian and Lisa Sugar, Popsugar is parent company to the digital multi-platform network Popsugar, the digital shopping platform ShopStyle and Popsugar Must Have, a service that sends subscribers a monthly sampling of health, beauty, lifestyle and food products. According to the company, the divisions combine to attract more than 100 million visitors. The company is privately held and funded by Sequoia Capital and IVP.
Z Living’s programming focuses on fitness, healthy cooking, wellness, lifestyle and travel, including original series such as include “I Beat the Odds,” “Dueling Doctors,” “Fit, Famous & Fabulous,”Health Soup,” “Cook Your Ass Off” and ” Fed Up!”
