Blend Media has hired two senior executives to spearhead the company’s business development activities in two newly created roles. James Bacon has been appointed as SVP of Commercial Partnerships and Greg Bond to the role of SVP Licensing. Formerly, James worked for Endemol Shine where he held the role of Director, International Brand Relations. Prior to that James held various roles over a 10 year period at Google including Head of Premium Content Solutions for EMEA. Greg joins from Jukin Media where he was Vice President of Global Licensing and was was also formerly Vice President of Film and TV Licensing at Wazee Digital.
“360° video will be the biggest growth driver for video in 2017 and with the likes of Facebook and Google investing heavily in the space I’m hugely excited to be joining Blend Media,” expressed Bacon in a release. “With the largest, premium 360° video content library, a global network of professional creators and some fantastic product solutions in the pipeline I think we’re well placed to make premium 360° video easy for brands, agencies and media owners”

This news comes shortly after Blend Media announced investment from the co-founder and CEO of The LADBible Group, the co-founder and former President of Maker Studios and senior management executives from ITN Productions, Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Bell Pottinger.
