Pandora’s quest for a chief executive officer is over. The company has announced that the soon-to-be former CEO of Sling TV, Robert Lynch, would be joining Pandora as its new CEO. Lynch’s departure leaves a hole in the management of Sling TV which will be filled by Erik Carlson, Dish’s president and COO, effective August 31.
Carlson, a 20-year veteran of DISH, will continue to report to Dish chairman and CEO Charlie Ergen.
“Roger built a fantastic team that will take Sling TV into the bright future ahead, and I wish Roger the best in his new endeavor,” Ergen said in a statement. “[Carlson] is positioned to fully support and grow our enterprise’s portfolio, including our Sling TV asset, as we work to connect 100% of the country through satellite, OTT, wireless and even digital over-the-air offerings.”
Before assuming the role of Dish’s President and COO in 2015, Carlson was EVP of operations and oversaw Dish’s in-home services, customer service centers, customer billing, and IT organizations.
