Lee’s title is president of media and chief digital officer, and will be responsible for growing and creating “digital experiences” for the Margaritaville brand, and developing engaging content for its consumers who share “a passion for the island escapism” lifestyle, the company said.
With her eight years at YouTube, it likely means that YouTubers will be somehow involved in many of the projects she develops for Margaritaville.
Most recently, Lee served as global head of top creators for YouTube, and oversaw a cross-regional team responsible for managing partnerships for some of the video site’s top creators. Prior to that role, she was head of North American content partnerships for YouTube, and oversaw partnerships across the film, television, sports, and news verticals.
At Margaritaville, Lee and her team will be based in New York.
