Launched in the fall of 2015 by multi-platform production company AwesomenessTV, Awestruck is a female-centric lifestyle brand and multi-channel network featuring a mix of scripted and unscripted programming formats, from comedy and drama series to docu-reality and talk shows, showcasing a mix of digital influencers and celebrities. It’s content is distributed across a network that includes YouTube, Facebook and Verizon’s Go90 mobile platform.
Johnson joins an Awestruck talent roster than also includes Zoe Saldana and her production company Cinestar, MyLifeSuckers and LaToya Forever.
As part of her multi-year deal with awestruck, Johnson will produce and appear in her own new series, focusing on her life as a mom of four. In addition, Johnson will also appear in several episodes of upcoming AwesomenessTV shows.
Last year, Johnson served lead beauty editor for Conde Nast’s digital video division Conde Nast Entertainment. She also had a recurring gig as the host of “The Naked Truth” a digital after-show that follows GSN’s popular makeup artist reality competition “Skin Wars.” Her other credits include “E! Live from the Red Carpet” and “YouTubers React.”
