Not so long ago, lesbian movies could only be found on porn sites. Fortunately, that is not the case anymore and we can enjoy them on mainstream platforms like Netflix these days. However, finding a good one to watch can be pretty exhausting. Even the basic search will often yield several pages of aforementioned porn sites and even if you find something not in smut category chances are it is utter trash. Either the plot is ridiculous, actors are visibly uncomfortable or we are served yet another Hollywood cliché. To help you avoid that, we have created a list of the best lesbian movies on Netflix. Set at the beginning of the 20th century, Elisa & Marcela tells a story of the first same-sex marriage in Spain. Elisa Sanchez Loriga and Marcela Gracia Ibeas are lovers who have been together for 15 years. In 1901, they decide to get married, but to do so, Elisa must assume the alias of Mario Sánchez. The movie tells a true story of their love, starting in 1885 when they first met in at the school. Gradually, their close friendship transforms into passionate love, resulting in one of the biggest scandals in Spain.

We also have something for horror fans. The Perfection is a movie about Charlotte, a musical prodigy with a lot of problems, and Lizzie, one of the best students in her former music school. The two engage in a romantic relationship that soon takes a dark turn. Not the most profound movie on our list, but it is still an entertaining watch.

The only teacher that supports her is Simone Bradley, but even she soon finds her self in a dilemma, as Annabelle won’t stop coming on to her. Does she listen to her heart or do what is right?

A word of warning, there are several highly offensive jokes in the movie, so it may not be for everyone. If you decide you can live with them, you will spend an enjoyable 90 minutes with Lez Bomb.

The movie is filled with genuine emotions and humorous situations, making it a great watch.
