Speech on Honesty is the Best Policy

Honesty is said to be the greatest virtue in mankind. It has always been held in high regard. When you are honest and you speak the truth, you don’t have to keep remembering the things you said. But it is not often easy, to be honest. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to speak the truth and come clean.

But once you lie, you have to keep knitting more lies in support of it. And at some point, you will start forgetting what lies you have said and then you get entangled in its web. Truth always finds its way out, sooner or later. And when it does, you feel embarrassed. You will see that you have hurt your loved ones and those who love you in the process of hiding one truth.

Honesty doesn’t just mean always telling the truth. It also means that you must never hurt anyone, indulge in wrong things or bad habits, or even behave badly. Lies, cheating, and dishonesty can only take you so far successfully. In the end honesty and truth win. An honest person always gets ahead in career and all the other aspects of life. So, if you want to be successful, you must be honest at every step of your life.

A relationship is no exception. A long, strong, and ever-lasting relationship is based on trust that comes from the honesty of both partners. And honesty, in turn, gives way to loyalty. The same goes for friends as well. Honesty will get you friends who will be loyal to you, who will stick by you through thick and thin, and who will always be true to you.
